Mission Trip:

 Mission teams are made up of individuals and church groups who share an interest that will certainly develop into a passion for the work of SCCI. Every individual that sacrifices to come on a team is requested to help fundraise for the cost of the particular project that they will be undertaking while at SCCI.

Some questions we receive are:

• How much does it cost? Approximately $3000USD (Note: This is just an estimate.)
• How long is the typical trip?Typically trips are for 3 to 4 weeks in duration, including travel time.
• What does the trip fare pay for?These cost cover airfare, room and board, 3 days and 2 night safari trip, airport pickup and drop off.
• What is NOT covered? Physical health screening, injections, and passport and other international documentation cost.

Widow Houses:

SCCI is primarily focused on the needs of orphaned children, but recognizes that many of those caring for their needs have needs of their own. Especially our widows! Many of them live in substandard conditions with no visible means of support. Often, they must depend on what little help they receive from immediate neighbors and family members. SCCI has been fortunate through the effort of visiting teams to minister to many of these unique needs. From building homes to providing kitchens – we are responsive as God leads and provides!

While we don’t currently offer traditional sponsorship for widows, we do solicit support for their children and make immediate needs, such as housing known so they can be provided for as people desire to contribute. Our last project provided a home for a widow whose walls were falling away leaving the roof completely unsupported. She and her children now live in a brick, 3 bedroom home as a result of a $3000USD contribution – Praise God!

Other Projects:

COMMUNITY CENTER

This is a unique project that will give SCCI a gathering center from which the following can take place:

• Community fellowship & relationship building
• Childcare training
• Youth worship & music lessons
• Health awareness programs (ie. HIV, Malaria, etc)
• Vacation Bible School
• Leadership training skills

HEALTH CENTER

A tremendous need for doctors, nurses and others exist in the local community. However, when such workers arrive they need a place from which to administer care. A HealthCare Center would provide clean facilities from which care can be provide and medications are dispensed in a controlled manner.
