Sammy Children's Center International

The vision for Sammy Children's Center began with Robert and Gertrude Sennyonjo.  Both Robert and Gertrude spent some of their childhood at a Christian center that cares for orpahns in Uganda. 

As young adults they became staff serving at the children's center where they learned about children's ministry ad were equipped with the unique skills needed to serve children.

Robert has had a passion to adopt a child since he was a young boy.  In 2002, he adopted Sammy, an abandoned baby.  In 2004, Robert and Gertrude were married, and together they felt led by the Lord to branch out in ministry.  They recognized the tremendous need to care for children in Uganda, and they recognized that God had uniquely equipped them to serve in this area.

With the support and help of friends in Uganda and the United States, Sammy Children's Center was developed to help support struggling children, especially those with only one parent or those living with extended family. An onsite facility is continuing to be developed for those children who have no family.

Please pray for SCCI as God leads us to develop and maintain a program that meets the physical and spiritual needs of orphans and widows in Uganda.
