The Vision of Sammy Children's Center International was born out of Robert and Gertrude Sennyonjo having been raised up at a children's center in Uganda. As young adults, they transioned to become staff serving at the center, practically learning about children's ministry and were uniquicly equipped with special, heartfelt skills to serve the needy Children. Robert had a passion to adopt a child since he was a young boy, and, in 2002, he adopted Sammy, an orphaned baby. The family grew in 2004 as Robert and Gertrude were married. Together, they felt led by the Lord to branch out in Ministry.

They recognize the tremendous need to care for children in Uganda and beyond, recognizing how they are equiped in special ways and called by God to serve the needs of Children and thier communities. Their desire and Vision is to give back to the Lord what they recieved freely from well wishers who compassionately gave and richly blessed thier lives. Today the Sennyonjo family consists of Robert, Gertrude, Sammy, Silas, a new baby yet to come, and two sixteen year old boys Isaac and Joseph in their care.

The bad political governance in Uganda marked by dictatorial regimes over the years, and the un ending cival wars since the 70s to date, have been worsened by the HIV/AIDS epedemic daily leaving hundreds of children parentless.---hence the need for efforts of passionate people to care about the the alarming situations facing needy children.
